Europe Operations Hub: PESCARA, Italy, October 15, 2026 – e-Crime Bureau participated in the Cybearly Forecasting 2027 in Pescara, Italy, as part of the firm’s European operations. The firm’s Executive Chairman, Dr Albert Antwi-Boasiako, delivered a presentation titled “Governing AI for Cyber Resilience.” The event brought together international professionals and stakeholders from the business, academic, legal, institutional, education and law enforcement sectors.
The presentation examined the rapid adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) and the need for effective governance frameworks to ensure its secure, responsible and accountable use. Against a backdrop of AI-driven transformation in institutional operations, economic competitiveness and the cyber threat landscape, the session underscored the importance of aligning governance frameworks with the pace of technological advancement.
Drawing on global research, Dr Antwi-Boasiako highlighted the growing gap between AI adoption and governance readiness. The Stanford AI Index Report 2026 reports that 88% of organisations use AI, up from 55% in 2023, while a 2025 study by the University of Melbourne found that 66% of people worldwide use AI regularly.
The presentation outlined a four-pillar framework for strengthening AI governance and cyber resilience: establishing board-level oversight; aligning organisational policies with emerging international standards; building workforce capabilities and AI literacy; and promoting cross-border and cross-sector cooperation. Dr Antwi-Boasiako emphasised the importance of effective AI leadership, appropriate regulatory frameworks and workforce preparedness in addressing emerging cybersecurity challenges.
e-Crime Bureau was represented at the event by its Executive Chairman and members of the Africa and Global Markets team
The Bureau extends its appreciation to BearIT Srl and the Cybearly organisers for the opportunity to contribute to discussions on the future of cybersecurity, AI and governance.
